Cherrydidi
I am delighted to announce that I have been accepted as a guest artist at Cherrydidi, an arts and crafts shop in the heart of Keswick, Cumbria. Keswick is a very popular tourist town in the Lake District, so many of my works will be based on the surrounding area. I'll have prints and cards as well as framed originals, so here's hoping to a successful venture.


Garden Mural
A number of years ago I used to paint murals on a regular basis but fashions changed and I moved onto other things. However, the odd project does come up on occasion and I was asked recently to paint a client's dining room and kitchenette. It was rather an unusual shape of house (clearly designed by and for an architect) in a rural setting and my brief was to cover the walls with lots of flowers as though the garden was indoors, and colour was to reign heavily. Villa Gamberaia
As part of a recent visit to Italy, I dropped in to the Villa Gamberaia specifically to see the gardens. The Villa sits near Settignano on a hill with views towards Florence. Originally built in the 1600s, the current villa and gardens were remodelled between 1896-1935. New Website
After a good number of years using Wordpress for my websites, I have finally moved to a web building platform with their own in house designs. I initially enjoyed the freedom and low expense of using Wordpress but I was constantly frustrated at the slow load speed and how often the while thing crashed because of updates and faulty plugins.
